Billy Joel fans were treated to an added bonus in New York last night. AC/DC’s Brian Johnson joined Billy on stage to perform ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’.
“Maybe the best band I saw in my life played here and we’ve got a guy from that band who is going to do a song with us right now. Please welcome from AC/DC Mr Brian Johnson,” Billy said introducing Brian.
The Billy Joel band then performed the AC/DC classic ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ with Johnson.
Billy had a few other covers during the night. He performed two Beatles songs ‘When I’m 64’ and ‘A Hard Day’s Night’. Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ made his playlist and the song he sang with Jimmy Fallon the night before on The Tonight Show ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ was also in the setlist.
Billy Joel is doing a residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden for as long as he wants. Tickets are on sale through to December 2014 but Joel has an open ticket to keep extending as long as he wants. He has committed to one show per month at the venue on an on-going basis.
